Is there some way I can back up my settings ?Īlthough it is highly unlikely that updates will affect your settings, it's always good to err on the side of caution. So it's easy to drag and drop the configuration you want to copy over to a flash drive. On Mac the individual user's configurations are located in a folder in Library/TVPaint Animation Pro/ which shows the default configuration folder and any other configurations that have been created. ![]() When I was on-campus recently I tried to help one of the lab technicians to show him how to do this, but could not find out how to locate the configurations on a Windows PC. Apparently the students haven't been shown how properly to create and save their own configurations to a USB flash drive, so they can always load their own configuration from the Start-Up Panel. When I have to use a Windows computer I feel like I am in an upside down bizarro world where every task is more difficult and unnecessarily convoluted).Īt the school where I teach the animation lab has TVPaint running on a network of Windows PC's. (I am a Mac user, I don't know Windows at all. I would suggest you use the Contact form on the website as it will be more likely to be seen first thing on Monday.I need to know how to locate and save (to a flash drive) an individual user's TVPaint settings (configuration) with TVPaint running on Windows. So you need to request that TVPaint Support migrates your license to the WIBU dongleless security system. The issue is that the company who make the dongle, Safenet, have not updated their dongle drivers to work with MacOS Monterey or Ventura. I can wait until Monday and hopefully somebody from TVP could tell me how to proceed. In the greyed out TVP window I can also see a tab called purchase, which makes me wonder if I should and where I could re-enter my unlock code. I'm using a USB dongle, it's plugged in and has a green LED light active, but in TVP I get this pop-up telling me to plug in the dongle. I'm back to the original problem with the dongle not getting seen by TVpaint. I also used the exception method with system preferences that you mentioned. Thanks David! I re-installed from my account and have the Dec22, 20022 version. To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click General. This button is available for about an hour after you try to open the app. Note: You can also grant an exception for a blocked app by clicking the Open Anyway button in the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences. The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.Ĭontrol-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu. ![]() In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.ĭon’t use Launchpad to do this. If you continue to get that message from Apple about how the software can not be opened because it is from an "unidentified developer", do this: 22,2022 release downloaded and reinstall Codemeter from that one, following these instructions for installation: viewtopic.php?t=14973 I believe the Codemeter installer that is contained in the TVPaint 11.7.1 installer (released on Dec. The latest version of Monterey is 12.6.3 (that's the one I have). ![]() If you updated to macOS Monterey, please install this version of CodeMeter and the software should be able to run once again. ![]() I also tried this advice from Thierry on page 1, but the link does not open for me: UPDATE : On macOS Monterey 12.4 (the latest one), TVPaint doesn't start because CodeMeter doesn't seem to be working. I get an error saying that Apple can't verify that the software is secure. I have now downloaded TVP again and have trouble installing it. I just updated to Monterey and since TVP had trouble with the dongle I found this thread.
